Football Bets Direct Final Review
Although there were only 11 days of actual bets with Football Bets Direct, due to the lack of opportunities in the summer months, the world cup and the author’s heart attack, Football Bets Direct did exactly what it says on the tin and made a profit.
The Football Bets Direct system is actually a service whereby you are e-mailed the selections well in advance, usually with guidance to the best odds.
All of the bets are around the 1.8 decimal mark (Bet365 are normally around the price advised, Betfair slightly higher) and are therefore not restrictive odds. The author advises using A, B and C bets similar to Sports Betting Professor and Sports Betting Champ, however I found that the selections were profitable using level stakes and there is the possibility of increasing your returns, by betting in multiples where more than one selection is advised. The choice of course is yours.
I found the author quite helpful in responding to any e-mail queries and I was somewhat relieved to find that he does not bombard you with e-mails regarding other systems. There are only 2 e-mails where he has recommended services/systems other than his own which were ABTB and SB Professor, both of which have been reviewed and passed on this site.
In summary, I would recommend this service for anyone wishing to make a steady profit from their football betting, it is not a get rich quick scheme and does not purport to be one. Simply put this is a long term strategy and can be used with level stake betting. The author has given his percentage figures for level stake betting below, please note I am unable to verify these results, but see no reason why Neil should be “adjusting” the figures. (The Nordic leagues were trialled during the summer and will be added to the portfolio this season).
Season Bets percentage
Belgium 76.6%
Eng. Championship 63.3%
Eng Premiership 63.9%
France 66%
Germany 57.6%
Holland 67.9%
Italy 68%
Poland 55.5%
Scotland 70%
Spain 65.5%
Nordic Leagues to date:
Norway 73.3%
Sweden 75%
Running Bank £123.02 (Starting Bank £100)
Profit + £23.02 using £2 stakes (11.51 points)
Using £10 stakes the profit over 11 days would have been £115.10
The price of Football Bets Direct is £47 per month, if you got in early in the season it was £34, whether or not there will be any other reductions during the season , will be at the author’s discretion.
My verdict – Passed, with a 3.5 star rating.

Champion Lays Review Summary
Well, a bit of a turn up on the champion lays review since my last posting on August 3rd. There have been a further 17 bets as noted below, with 16 winning lays!!
The result of this winning streak means that the trial of Champion Lays has finished in profit.
Final Bank £2596.80 (Starting bank £2000.00) -
Level Stake Profit of £5.97 points (using a stake of £100.00 per lay)
08-Aug-10 BRA Ceara v Ath. Goianiense Ath. Goianiense 6.60 WIN £95.80 £1,860.60
08-Aug-10 BRA Corinthians v Flamengo Flamengo 5.20 WIN £95.80 £1,956.40
08-Aug-10 MLS FC Dallas v Philadelphia Philadelphia 5.20 WIN £95.80 £2,052.20
11-Aug-10 MLS Philadelphia v Real Salt Lake Philadelphia 2.84 WIN £95.80 £2,148.00
14-Aug-10 JAP Shimizu v Yokohama Yokahama 4.60 Loss -£360.00 £1,788.00
14-Aug-10 JAP Kashima v FC Tokyo FC Tokyo 5.80 WIN £95.80 £1,883.80
14-Aug-10 SWE Elfsborg v Kalmar Kalmar 5.40 WIN £95.80 £1,979.60
14-Aug-10 RUS Zenit v Dinamo Moscow Dinamo Moscow 7.00 WIN £95.80 £2,075.40
14-Aug-10 MLS DC United v FC Dallas DC United 3.25 WIN £95.80 £2,171.20
15-Aug-10 FRA Lille v Paris St.Germain Paris St Germain 4.60 WIN £95.80 £2,267.00
21-Aug-10 EPL Birmingham v Blackburn Blackburn 3.80 WIN £95.80 £2,362.80
21-Aug-10 FRA Rennes v St Etienne St Etienne 6.00 WIN £95.80 £2,458.60
21-Aug-10 MLS Columbus v Colorado Colorado 5.40 WIN £95.80 £2,554.40
21-Aug-10 MLS FC Dallas v Chivas Chivas 6.20 WIN £95.80 £2,650.20
22-Aug-10 SCO Hibernian v Rangers Hibernian 5.00 WIN £95.80 £2,746.00
22-Aug-10 BRA Corinthians v Sao Paulo Sao Paulo 4.00 WIN £95.80 £2,841.80
23-Aug-10 SWE Orebro v AIK AIK 5.20 WIN £95.80 £2,937.60
Initially my views on the champion lays service would have been to fail and jail, however they have
redeemed themselves somewhat, after a disastrous World Cup campaign (unlike some other
people we could mention).
I am still concerned at the high lay prices which can (and have in the past) wiped out any
profits quite spectacularly. There is also a question regarding the lay prices quoted as
sometimes the liquidity in the market is not strong enough to maintain the price quoted
and this inevitably goes upwards.
With all that said, I do think that champion lays has potential and in this instance should
be given a NEUTRAL status. It may be that we can monitor the progress over the next few
months and revisit Champion Lays early in the New Year.

Sports Betting Champ Final Review
Hi Bloggers,
First, please accept my apologies for the lack of updates on sports betting champ. I have been involved with various personal issues, including bereavement, which have taken up a considerable amount of my time over the last few weeks.
Right, back to the review of the John Morrison strategy, sports betting champ, which seems to involve all sorts of amendments to the results to achieve his 90-92% win rate. The major problem with sports betting champ is if the “C” bet loses and you have gambled the largest amount to recoup previous losses, and also it takes around 25 bets to recoup your losses.
In the series since this review 2 of the “C” bets have “LOST”, however the author of sports betting champ seems to go to extraordinary lengths to change the rules and avoid these losses. I have received e-mails from him stating that you should never back a team when the “RPI” is below a certain figure, although this is mentioned in the system e-books, it would probably be a good idea to state in the e-mail giving the original bet that you should check the RPI before each game.
There is one other issue with sports betting champ, which has never been mentioned to my knowledge.
All members are encouraged to set up an account with “BETUS” and use them for your bets, John Morrison then wants to know your account “ID”, so he can pass on some of his profits each year to his clients. Personally I am still waiting for my money and suspect that every “member” is in the same boat.
To wrap up, sports betting champ is simply a scam!

Champion Lays Review Continued, Days 26 and 27
Hi Bloggers
The trial will now continue with Champion Lays and there were 3 bets over the weekend as follows:
SELECTIONS
Saturday, July 17th
10:30 a.m. – Japan, J-League – Shimizu v Iwata: lay Iwata @ 6.0
3:00 p.m. – Swedish Allsvenksan – Mjallby v Brommapojkarna: lay Brommapojkarna @ 5.0
2:00 a.m. (Sunday morning) MLS – Colorado v Kansas City: lay Kansas City @ 5.4
Sunday, July 18th
No Selections
Monday, July 19th
No Selections
All 3 games above were drawn and therefore we had 3 winning Lays, although the pre-match analysis suggested all the home sides looked like banker bets, it just didn’t happen that way. However, 3 wins and an overall profit on the day of £287.40 to £100 stakes. As for the odds I managed to get 5.1 for Iwata, 5 for Brommapojkarana and 5.5. for Kansas.
Running Bank £1946.60 (Starting Bank £2000; £100 Level stake bets)
Please note Champion Lays have restarted their bank from £2000 on the results page, whereas this review will continue from where we stopped, i.e. in a loss-making position at day 25.
As a matter of interest they have also started a new service named “Pin Point Punter Selections” which concentrates on the over/under 2.5 goals market.
One selection and one winner last night:
8:30 p.m. – MLS – Philadelphia v Toronto: back over 2.5 goals
Best Odds: 2.05 at Bet365 (I got 2.0 at Bet365 just after kick-off )
(I will monitor the pin-point selections, but will not publish them as part of this trial, if you need any further information, click the link below)
