Day 1 (Thursday 1st March)
Hi Bloggers,
I applied the ratings to three races, one of these resulting races came out with no clear favoured horse(s) so I decided to only place bets on the two remaining races:
2.20 Southwell
Top three horses were:
Samasana 77
Bapak Pintar 51
Availed Speaker 49
I thought the obvious bet here was a win bet on Samasana. I had noticed it had started to drift but the manual does state to ignore market positives and negatives.
3.40 Taunton
Top three horses were:
Briefcase 62
Magical Treasure 41
Dream Again Boys &
Al Shababiya both 32
I thought the obvious bet was Briefcase each way as it was well clear on the ratings. It was coming back from a lay off but there is no mention of this in the manual as a negative. This bet will go down on betting bank two which is each way bets only.

So one disappointing drifting loser who got worked up at the start and one good 2nd which travelled well until two out and I did think it was going to go very close to winning at that point.
