Another review site had this to say about Storm Horse:

“I like the way the system is only for handicaps yet the screenshots it shows are for non handicaps, how unusual for a system sellers sales page not being entirely honest”

Enough said – Storm Horse is garbage!

        @Jon:

Just a quick follow up in case anyone thinks I have been a bit harsh on Storm Horse. I received another promotional email today mentioning their big winner yesterday on Sunday 3rd July.

The selection email received yesterday (Sunday) said:

        Hi Jon

Todays STorm Horse System selections are as follows:

TIME COURSE HORSE NAME ODDS BET
14:30 Market Rasen Wicklewood 55.00 Back
15:30 Market Rasen Dunaskin 19.50 Back

For your info Wicklewood finished 11th and Dunaskin was a non runner!

Where was the “big winner”? Now I know this system is garbage with blatant lies about its “success” as well!

        Steer well clear!

        Cheers
        Jon

PS Got my refund from Clickbank today.

Dear BST, why haven’t you failed and jailed ‘Perpetual Eye’ ? – ‘Perpetual Eye could change your life’ – yes, by leaving you 1000 + in the red – and it looks like thats the way its liable to stay, after all.
Incidentally I am not an embittered customer – I never bought it, but can well remember the furore hype, and speculation that met with its launch.

      Hi Simon,

Sincere apologies regarding this review. Unfortunately we have been let down by the reviewer on this one, and it has been stuck in Limbo.

You are quite right, it needs to be canned, it had almost reached the 56 day stage, and obviously wasnt going any further. We may not actually do a final review, but may just post that it has been failed.

I am afraid we do have a couple of others that are stuck, awaiting sorting, for the same reason, reviewer gone AWOL, and I am sure you can appreciate it is difficult for someone else to pick up a review halfway through.

We have been so busy with all the changes here, that they have been somewhat forgotten. Obviously the performance of these products is best forgotten anyway, but I will try and resolve them as soon as I can.

      Thanks Simon

May I offer to do the daily reviews on this one …. a couple of years ago I did some mystery shopping work. Much of it was for bookies mainly William Hill, so I am used to getting reports out on time.

The new site has not yet got itself fully up and running at the time of your comment. I dont understand the technical details, but it take a while for all internet service providers to get all the new site details.

So please bear with us, I assure you that it had better be a lot faster then the old server, or heads while roll as it has not been a cheap exercise!!

No, unfortunately we would not consider a trial. We have decided that, in our opinion, there are no gaming systems on the market that will produce long term profits, and therefore we no longer review any of them.

This site needs a overhaul. It is slow because there is too much on 1 page + how many bloody times do we need telling that All By The Book has 5 stars which by the way you need to be on the dole / sick to operate.

I take it you are not a fan of All By The Book, despite it doing exactly what it says on the tin. Presumably you would consider that all products that need to operated by following live markets would also require you to be unemployed or off sick?

As i said in my Final Review of ABTB you can use it Weekend ‘s Only and make a profit, i also know of several bloggers who use it on the evening races and do well. So certainly you do not have to be sick or unemployed, if you do not like the layout of the website thats one thing, having a go at a product that works is a bit off.

    Dear folks,

I’ve read all the comments on this mini debate about BST. At the end of the day you are all intelligent people and if you don’t like what you see then don’t complain about it…don’t listen to the advice and make your own judgement. I have been doing this gambling part time now for about 15 years. It is possible to make money but it’s a long term investment! How many of you have pension funds that dropped in value recently? Did you phone up the fund managers and blast them? I always look at any system/software/service and see how it performs over a 1 year period. I have given up on most services now and have devised my own system. As I live down under now, I use this most weekends on the city races in Australia and aim to increase my bank by at least 5% per week. Eventually you run into liquidity issues but compounding works just have the patience. For those members who love horses I had the privelage of seeing the best racehourse run a couple of Fridays ago at Moonee Valley – Black Caviar. I layed the second favourite as BC was $1.05.

    Guys/Admin

Just had an Idea, what about setting up a forum and in that forum you can have all live reviews, where users can post their comments and views, next to the daily update on here, you could have a tab that says “discuss this on our forum” you would not need to moderate it as any posts can be deleted afterwards by a moderator of the forum. You can have log in’s and all IP’s could be logged etc

you can also have a section for previous reviews which can be discussed. I think it would be a excellent idea, and better than the comment section I feel. And yes I would happily moderate forum!!

I have been a reader of this review site since james started it when it was jamesfitzmaurice.com/blog. There has been cheap immitations of this place but i always come back here. Its simply the best. Now we have Gordon looking after the site and it looks like this place is getting better and better. I could tell the stick James was getting affected his love for the site as his attention to detail was slipping, I wasnt surprised to hear he had left…. Now though under Richard VO and Gordon and the closely knit review team I see a bright future here. I think a line should be drawn under here and anyone not happy with the sites progression please go to another review site. (The cheap immitation ones) Warning though you will soon be back here… In my opinion the way the site is run should never be dictated by someone not putting in the same time as Gordon the reviewers etc… I am not 100% happy with my decisons to purchase some products but im happy it was “Just one of those things”. Its gambling FFS! Are gamblers really still so fickle? Anyway my point is, the only people that should be allowed to dictate how the site is run is the people that run it. Reviewers, Gordon, Richard etc… If you want to have your say then pick up the batton and re-review the products otherwise please go button bash somewhere else… People acting like spoilt children crying with a lollipop in their hand… Pathetic and Fickle.

no one is questioning the integrity or tremendous efforts of the Reviewers. no one is questioning the the integrity or tremendous efforts of the Admin to deliver a quality service to prospective purchasers of systems.
BUT we keep hearing that a system’s effectiveness can only be judged IN THE LONG TERM. then why give it a rating of total inflexibility after 3 months. be prepared to accept reports of failing results and accredit the system to reflect those findings. They are, going forward, as important as the original review conclusions if the aim of the site is to give us the best info regarding systems which we might want to purchase.
and for the accusations of “busibody” and “idiot” levelled at me, have a look in the mirror and get your brain in gear before your mouth opens.
I THOUGHT WE WERE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE SAME SIDE. LOOKING FOR SUCCESSFUL SYSTEMS.

Ok thanks for NOTHING I guess the best way for you to answer difficult questions is to invite the questioners to walk. If you had a reasonable answer you wouldn’t need to do that.
I will happily not bother again.

      Bill,

Your questions have been answered over and over recently, but you have simply persisted in coming back and asking them again and again. You were not INVITED to walk, but you are clearly not happy either with us or what we are trying to achieve here.

What you have failed to appreciate is that we are on your side Bill, but you seem to want to hold us responsible for your losses, we try to give fair and honest reviews and assessments based on our results, what happens after that is totally out of our control, be it good or bad.

You are quite correct in that Champion Draws has had 18 losing bets in a row, very, very disappointing indeed for those of us who are subscribing, but hardly a long term assessment, at the rate of maybe 3/4 bets per week, we are talking about a month. Obviously I have no idea what the future holds but it is possible that following this recent bad run there may well be another turn around and another good run. The whole point is, NOBODY knows! To simply expect it to keep churning out profits week after week is totally unrealistic.

Morning Gents, I have been an observer and participant of the Champion Draws service since its trial and have kept a watch on this discussion. Whilst I consider the work of BST to be superb and without rival. I would question the push against those that have been unfortunate enough to join this provider. Losses make for emotive rather than logical rhetoric. I operate my ‘bank’ differently to the norm (of slicing it until it has been obliterated) by allowing an amount to play on a service. Based on the historic performance of the service the loosing run can be calculated early and should not be followed over the cliff. I cannot accept that the turn of events here can be tolerated. I would strongly urge BST to downgrade its recommendation and question the service provider on what has changed. Clearly, the service is now no longer worthy of a recommendation.

        regards,
        Paul

          Hi Paul,

Thank you for your thoughts and comments, which obviously are respected.

Just a couple of points in reply.

We keep using Champion Draws as the example here, but it is the fundamental principle that we should be concentrating on, which is that a poor performance over a period of just 1 month, disappointing as it is, is not a good reason for people to start cutting their wrists and jumping off tall buildings! It may disappear down the drain and never be seen again, who knows? It has previously proved itself over a 3 month period.

Anyone who cant set aside a dedicated bank that they are willing to risk losing, because yes, it can happen, shock horror! Shouldnt be getting involved at all, I am sorry, but that is the plain and simple truth.

You are absolutely correct Paul when you say that losses make for emotive responses, and therein lies the problem, allowing emotions to dictate your thinking in this business is a certain guarantee for failure, something that we all do, except the 2% who supposedly make a living at it.

The second point is this, some people will no doubt accuse me of splitting hairs, but nonetheless it is important. We DO NOT recommend any system or service unless it is awarded 5 stars, any other product that is classified as a pass, is simply approved. As I say, a small but significant difference.

          Cheers,
          Admin Gordon

            @BST Admin:

Sgt Rob here…just to add my two pennies worth.

Looking at the BST home page, there are 21 ‘passed’ betting systems, 27 ‘neutral’ and 45 ‘failed’ systems. In addition, there are currently 17 systems that are being reviewed.

This makes 110 systems in total.

I make it that there are 11 reviewers on the site.

My advanced maths therefore makes me think if we were to do extended reviews to monitor a system’s performance post-review, we would need each reviewer to be doing 10 reviews.

Alternatively, we could recruit another 45 reviewers to make it ‘easy’ for us and give us just 2 reviews to look after from day to day.

For the former option, I currrently have it easy with just the Soccertips Software review to do, but that still takes an hour a week to do the process, format Excel spreadsheets and then format and process the review blog. So having 10 reviews would imply giving a minimum of 10 hours per week just to keep my head above water and keep the extended reviews going. As some products require much more time, I would need to give up my day job to concentrate on getting it all done – for free, remember.

For the latter option, recruiting 45 new reviewers would take forever and would be a nigh-on impossible process to implement!

So, for people who have posted saying a 56/84 day review isn’t enough and more needs to be done post-review, then my personal opinion is yes, in an ideal world, the reviews would be ongoing.

But, this isn’t an ideal world, and the logistics of it all makes it highly unlikely to happen.

Right, i’ll put my soapbox away now 🙂

            Sgt Rob.

  19. Bill

OK as far as I am concerned its over & OUT for soccer overs, and Its Drawn to an end for champion Draws after yet another disterous weekend from both of them. Champion Draws have now won ONE out of the last 18 tips, and both have depleated my banks and they completely suck.

As for the comments that we shouldn’t put so much emphasis on the final ratings, I question then what Value Betting System Reviews are having. As
in my case and obviously in many others the ratings were a big influence, However now they seem to have little value, whats the point of any BST reveiws???.
The reviews obviously influence people to invest in the system so BST are in some way responible for these BAD decisions. is that the purpose of your existance???

    Reply
    • Sgt Ian

      @Bill:

Bill with the greatest respect….dont be stupid. Do you really think us reviewers have a crystal ball that we can detect when any service will go on a bad run.

ALL reviews are carried out and reported AS IS, the results speak for themselves…good or indeed bad. We can only make a judgement on the time we review, that is and always has been the case.

We reviewers and in fact BST cannot be held at all responsible for any future losses that may or may not be incurred by a reader joining a service.

The fact of the matter is that people moaning about losing money will always look for someone to blame. But remember this whenever you point that finger of blame there are 3 fingers pointing back at you!!

So to you guys having a moan, BST has done its job by reviewing accurately the product, it is still up to you to decide if that service or product suits you and you alone must suffer the consequences of that decision.

We very rarely indeed hear from people who have made lots of profit from services, this is because of human nature of only wanting to vent anger at something not going their way.

Stop moaning for Gods sake and get on with it!!!

      Hi Bill,

As I have explained to you before, I am actually a subscriber to Champion draws myself.

I set aside an amount of money I was prepared to risk following the service, if and when that bank is gone, I shall cancel my subscription, until then I shall continue.

We all have to go into any form of investment in this business with our eyes wide open, of course we all hate losing money, but if you cant accept that risk in the first place then you really need to ask yourself whether you should be doing it at all.

The point of our reviews has been more than fully explained recently, however, if you dont see that point then you are quite entitled to vote with your feet. As to the last part of your comment Bill, I am not even going to bother to answer that!

      Good luck and best wishes,
      Admin Gordon
