Frontline Horse Racing Form Reading Software
FL HORSE RACING SOFTWARE REVIEW

Software Rating:

Hi All,
I have now completed 13 weeks from the actual date I started using FL on June 28th and 11 weeks proofing to BST.
I now bring my trial of FL sofatware to a close.
CONCLUSION
The FL software is a very useful tool in aiding those investors who need to have a wealth of form reading filters at their fingertips. Application of various filters can be carried out speedily and I am sure the software may well be worth the monthly subscription to some of you for these features alone.
My unofficial review and proofing centres only on the “included free within the software”, “Dark Horse” lay system.
It can plainly be seen from the results posted by me each Sunday that the free lay system is profitable only provided it is strictly kept to laying at no greater than BF odds to lay of 6.00.
I also use the “tweak” (this being the disqualification of a bet if any one of the first 3 horses in the betting forecast has less than 8 career race starts). This has improved the strike rate of profitable bets overall and proved to be a prudent additional filter.
Based on my start date of 28th June 2 weeks prior to my commencing proofing to BST on July 12th you would have realised 23.5 points profit from the net 51 qualifying selections. Total of 46 successful lays and 5 unsuccessful for a 90.20% strike rate
You have to factor in the cost of the subscription and this is not inexpensive to say the least at £47 per month. That figure may be sufficient to put a lot of people off unless they can utilise the software in other ways to justify the cost.
It obviously depends greatly on how much per point you are playing as to what you determine the actual value to you is to subscribe and profit. However, based on the evidence, by employing discipline and patience you can see that you will indeed profit over time.
£100 per 1 point level stakes will yield approaching £10,000 per annum based on the result of this trial. If you are a small stakes player then it may not be worth the effort after the cost of subscription is allowed for.
I hope you have found this trial and information useful and I wish you all a profitable journey going forward in your punting endeavours.
This ultimately is a software review and this is better than anything else out there for your statistical research! Its Bang Tidy! Software Rating:

Comments on Frontline Horse Racing Form Reading Software
Thanks Bernard.
As Scotty said Fl seems closed now but it would still be good to see how you progress…
Cheers
Mike
Mike,
The results to date are based on laying all qualifying selections. If there are 3 on the day then 3 lay bets ensue. However, you may want to consider just laying the poorest rated of the three and confining to just the 1 bet. It is up to the individual really.
Cheers,
Bernard
WEDNESDAY 14th JULY
Todays selection was::
ROSCO FLYER 18.20 KEMPTON
available below Betfair odds of 7.0 to lay in the 10 minutes before the off.
Result: WON at 4/1 Industry sp / 5.82 Betfair sp. and therefore the unbelievable run of 26 consecutive losers and the 100% strike rate has sadly come to an end.
The strike rate drops to “only” 96.29%
It will be interesting to see how things now develop for this free FL System.
Cheers,
Bernard.
..Jings, membership’s closed already on this one!
Hi Mike,
The software will show all horses in the race and highlight in red any that have equal to or less runs out than you have specified in the settings.
Some days there will be more than one selection and some days there will be no selections matching the set criteria. Also, you may get 2 highlighted selections in a single race (this happened today). In such a case, I will always go with the one that has the lowest ratings.
Also today, there was a qualifier in a race that I rejected due to one of the front three in the betting forecast only having 7 all time starts. Close call but a rule is a rule and there to be followed for safety. To prove the point, the selection in question actually won the race at 2/1 (3.10 Uttox).
Cheers,
Bernard
Great news…
Bernard… Does the system throw up more than one selection normally and if so do you lay them all?
Also re the 8 times out tweak…Is this entered into the software or do you glean manually from RP etc?
Thanks
Mike
slight correction::: KNOCK THREE TIMES actually went favourite just at the off. Returned at 11/4 industry sp.
TUESDAY 13th JULY
Paul Hanagan the “riding out of his skin” jockey of the moment rode at Beverley in the afternoon and on to Musselburgh for the evening where he rode 3 winners from the first 4 races. He then unfortunately (for him) had the ride on our LAY selection for today:
KNOCK THREE TIMES 20.50 Musselburgh
available at 4.5 Betfair odds to lay in the 10 minutes before the off.
Went off the 2nd favourite following late money for the favourite “Beat The Shower”.
Result: 7th and therefore the unbelievable run now extends to 26 consecutive losers and the 100% strike rate is held for another day.
One qualifier today. KINGSDINE Wolverhampton 9.20.
This was available at a lay price of 6.4 Betfair in the 10 minutes before the off.
Came 2nd at Industry sp 5/1 and Betfair sp 6.4
That is now 25 consecutive selections all losing and the 100% strike rate is still intact.
Thanks Bernard and Dave…will be looking forward to hearing about your experiences.
Mike
Hi Bernard,
I too have the software and it’s great i have had successful lays since i downloaded the software and started using it. Ross is on about setting up some training days as i am complete newb to laying i think i will take him up on his offer. Hopefully then i can get the best out of the software as i think i am only scratching the surface at the moment. Your tweaks are a great idea i think i shall look to using them tomorrow when finding the lays so thanks for sharing.
Many Thanks,
Dave
Hi everyone, Bernard here. I am a “fifty something” former Sales & Marketing Manager who worked within the house building industry for 30 years forced into retirement following a heart attack 2 years ago.
I have, like many of you, tried to supplement income by beating the bookie and I am certain I am not alone in failing most of the time to do so. We all know it is a difficult game to keep ahead in. However, more recently since joining BST I have learned sufficient to have become a winner. Part of the reason for that transition is my concentrating on just a small portfolio of systems and strategies and learning to be far more disciplined in my betting activities.
Following the review of FL Horse Racing Software by Sgt Dave, I signed to it and have paper traded the “Dark Horse Criteria”. This is a free LAY system available from within the FL software. This system selects horses that meet a number of set criteria and that are no bigger than odds of 6/1 in the betting forecast. Selections (if any) can be viewed at the click of your computer mouse well before racing each day. I usually get them around 10 a.m.
The only tweak to the system that I have made is that the first 3 horses in the betting forecast (as opposed to just the selection) must have at least 8 race starts under their belt in their career to date. This helps to ensure good competition is available within the race. If any of the first three in the betting forecast have less than 8 career starts the race is discarded.
Selections at industry betting forecast odds of 6/1 are equal to decimal odds of 7.0 Betfair. I personally would not bet if the Betfair odds available are greater than 6.0
I will post daily results here and proof selections to the Commissioner in advance of racing each day. I did state on the blog that only results up to odds of 6.00 on Betfair would be posted. On reflection, I know that there are some of you who would be comfortable betting at higher risk levels (particularly if the strike rate is high enough) and therefore, I will amend my statement and post results up to Betfair odds of 7.00.
My results from June 28th to July 11th inclusive are: A total of 24 selections and a phenomenal 100% strike rate on the 24 with all losing their races.
I hope the system continues to prosper and posted results help you to make an informed decision on the potential value to you of the FL Horse Racing Software.
Best wishes
Bernard
