Gaffa Tips Week 9

Sgt Colin – Reviews Gaffa Tips

We started the week with the bank down at a very disappointing 68.5 points, with both golf & football selections sharing the blame. Could we see some recovery this week?

Golf Tips:

1 golf tournaments this week,  the European Open. A change in approach, with only 5 top 10 finisher selections, and no 72 hole match bets.

This tournament shows how hard it is to make money from golf bets, as of  The Gaffa’s 5 selections, 3 played really well, finishing 5th, 15th & 15th, and neither of the other two played badly. Only 1 winner though, and 1.75 points lost.

Overall we’re 18.5 points down from 133 points staked

Football Tips:

As above, fewer bets than previously, with 3 international match bets – a winning double on Germany & Brazil to win at home (at a paltry 1.44, advised @ 4/6), a more impressive selection of Uruguay to win away @ 2.875. However a shock defeat for Mexico (backed at odds of 1.4) meant that the full house was missed. Still, a profit of 1.31 points on the week, reducing  the overall loss on football bets to 13.5 points from 67 points staked.

Another losing week then,

  • Opening Bank 100
  • Staked 200 points
  • Loss to date: 31.96
  • Closing bank 68.04

Hit rate is a paltry 36%, and the ROI is -16%.

With three weeks to go, it seems highly unlikely that this review will end in the black – we shall see.
