Rugby league has featured in this review before but Friday had a Rugby union for the first time. The New Zealand team was tipped to beat the British Lions, which they did 30-15. In football, Toronto won relatively easily also, scoring two goals to New England Revolution’s zero.
The other line in the treble was the most nail-biting as Portugal under 21’s were tipped to win with a -1 goal handicap. They were off to a great start, scoring in the second minute and again in the 22nd minute. Then Macedonia pulled a goal back, before Portugal again went 2 ahead. Another goal for Macedonia in the 80th minute left the bet looking unlikely but Bruma scored again in the 90+1 minute. It was a pity for Portugal who despite winning 4-2 were out of the tournament but our bet was a success.
