Sergeant Lucian - Introduces Point2Lay
Hi Bloggers,
The Point2Lay software is one of two products from UK Horse Racing Bets.
1) Point2Lay software – lay software
2) Pointer software – backing software
The lay software spots false favourites in horse racing win markets based on TFQR (Tax Free Quid Ratings). Point2Lay runs, scans, rates all UK races. The selections will be highlighted in RED.
The program does all the job for the user, so it isn’t necessary to insert any data. There is no need to study data- horse race stats, trainer, jockey, etc, etc. The software does all that for the user.
Betting bot is included. The bot, by default, will not place lay bets on odds over 5.0 but this option can be changed by the user to any desired odds.
Point2Lay operates in 3 ways:
1. Manual Mode – the software spots the selections and the bets are placed manually
2. Semi-Manual Method – the software spots the selections and the bets can be placed instantly by using the dropdown menu on the betting bot to select Bet Now
3. Auto Bet Method – doesn’t need any description. Just spare 2 minutes of your time, set up and go away if you want.
The UK Horse Racing Bets team recommend Manual Mode if you are free to be by your computer. But if for any reasons you are away from your computer, the auto betting feature is the option to use.
In order to work smoothly the software needs a good internet connection, a paid Racing Post account (£2 per week) and of course a Betfair account.
About the price: Point2Lay is free for the first 15 days and then £49.99 every 3 months. Alternatively for one month the price is £24.99.
On this review it will be use an initial Bank of 1000 points and will risk 100 point on every bet.
Max odds will be 5.0, Auto Bet Method will be used for the review.
For the start Point2Lay will be reviewed for 56 betting days and this period will be extended to 84 days if everything looks good.
Regards,

Comments on Point2Lay Introduction
@Sgt Rich: ahem cough cough……
I agree that it is usual to include commission when reporting results – any sales page that doesn’t raises a question mark with me. Commission does vary, so usually reported results allow the amximum 5% deduction. That way it shows the minimum profit attainable with the tips/system.
Thanks, BristolSpur, for highlighting the wide variation between reported prices on their website and the Betfair SP. It would be VERY unusual for odds to swing that much so often in the last few minutes.
This is the advantage of our reviews – they show the actual results on an on-going basis rather than any claimed results on a marketing page. Let’s see what Lucian’s review brings up.
i can answer why its tricky to add betfair commission.i think in recent years betfair have offered different levels of commission dependent on how much volume you bet.i could be wrong here.
thanks bristol for underlining my concerns.it is always my way to check out supposed results from any site that i am considering investing in,and measure those results to reality.i.e. timeform BSP.just looking at the small sample you took the trouble to provide,i can assume that you totally share my view on this that although some of the results are correct,there are enough anomalies in this small sample that we can totally discount any of the claims provided by this service.it remains to be seen if over time it works out to be profitable,but i certainly wont be investing in this any time soon.
@BristolSpur:
100 is liability. Max loss on a bet is 100 points.
Cheers,
Lucian
Can I just confirm your betting strategy, if you start with a 1000 pt bank and bet 100 on each bet, if you have 2 losing bets (at the start) @ 5.00 odds – you would not have enough funds to cover a third bet.
This could be a very short trial.
@justin white aka 1wildhorse:
Following on from my previous post……..
Actual results (using BSP) – I am aware this is not the ‘2 mins’ pre race price, however this margin of difference is far too great and always in this Sites favour, also what else can be validated?
‘False Favourites’ is a strange term to use when some of the selections were 3rd or 4th favs in their races AND some were small 5 runner races, not many serious Layers would choose such small fields.
Apologies for the wierd ‘times’ shown – this is how they appear on the Site.
The promised ACTUAL results-Odds above 5 will show as N/A under ‘P/L’.

As can be seen only 4 Favs actually selected, most odds far exceed the max bet of 5 – thus only 5 bets for the month with one losing lay. After subscription to Racing Post & also subs to this Site…. a winning Month?
As an afterthought, how many creditable tipping sites don’t make allowance for the Betfair deduction in their results? – Food for thouht.
These are the very last reported results/prices as shown on their Website for March 2011. Justin had previously raised issues regarding the validity of prices quoted (with which I agree). Dependant if this mailing appears in the comments – I will later show the correct prices that were available. Also I will confirm the very loose term ‘False Favourites’ used in this article.

@justin white aka 1wildhorse: and hence my confusion.are you telling me that a horse would have drifted from 4 out to 10 2 minutes before the race?this may happen once,but i only checked a few days,and in no way did the results posted on their page even come close to the actual BSP apart from once i think.it has sent alarm bells ringing tbh.i understand that you set the bot to parameters,so in actuality no bets would be placed to these odds,but are their records true reflections of what you would expect from the service?go check them out for yourself.
Hi Eric,
I review on the seller recommendation and how they guarantee the profit. You can set how you want the bot and place bet on your odds conditions.
Cheers,
Lucian
Hi Justin,
On automatic mode the software start with 2 minute before the race start. From here can be the difference. No BSP on this. The bot place the bet on odds under 5.
Cheers,
Lucian
i have a question about this.are you laying horses that are flagged by the software?and if this is so,how are their results collated?i had a quick check through some of the results posted on their site,and BSP showed absolutely no relation to the prices posted.there were horses shown at odds of 4 that BSP had at over 10.this confuses me.
on my first day of trial no bets.on second day i enabled bot before i set time at 2mins before race.this resulted in sp lays being placed in 4 races as time was set at bet now.of these 4 races 2 lays were placed and were succesful,the other 2 were not in odds limits but lost anyway.pehhaps its best to use the bot in this way?
i took the free trial & after a couple days it has shown profit but membership to racenet has to be a 1 month subscription costing 2 pounds per week, so its a part free trial. Also the service & support from point2lay has been very helpfull.
cheers bon
