Odds On Ron – Days 73 to 74

16th December 2012

Hi, Sgt Colin here, with the latest update on the performance of the Odds On Ron system.

I initially started with a bank of 100 points, staking 1 point per selection (using level stakes) and aiming to return c4 points per day (using the staking plan). After 72days we were  13.7 points down to level stakes, but UP 76.6 points using the advised staking plan. We were on a long losing run, and the staking plan was restricted to a daily target of 40 points in order to limit staking levels.

Day 73 – 12th December

There were 5 selections today. The second selection placed at odds against, so to level stakes we stopped at a winner. For the staking plan we continued until the 5th selection came home at 5.24 on Betfair, ending a run of 19 races without a winner. Using level stakes we lost 0.2 points, but were 41.1 points up using the staking plan.

Not able to access the internet at the right times until today due to family illness.

Day 74 – 16th December

9 selections today. I’d decided to continue with the 40 point profit target as the profit recovery plan had only been partially successful.  The 3rd selection won following a place in the first race, so we stopped betting then. 1.6 points gained using level stakes, 30.5 points gained using the staking plan.

Updated results are:

Staking Plan:  Initial bank 100  Total Staked 1480 points Profit 148.2 points  Closing Bank 248.2 ROI 10%

Level Stakes: Initial bank 100 Total staked 337 points Loss 12.4 points Closing Bank 87.6  ROI -4%

We have achieved a 19% hit rate on win bets (42 wins), and 47% of selections have placed (or won). The early gains made on the trial on level staking have now been lost thanks to two long losing runs. However, using the staking plan we’ve made a healthy profit, and a decent return on investment.
