Place Bet Pro – 27 and 28 January 2012
Hi Bloggers,
27 Jan
Busy day today with eight bets, with three winners and two placed. Still not enough to turn a profit for the day and we’re almost back where we started.

Day’s P/L: -$108.10
Running Balance: $1002.75
28 Jan
Five bets again today with four place getters (no winners). Got lucky with one that drifted out to 2.24 before the off but you’ve got to take the good with the bad.
Start Balance: $1000
Day’s P/L: $116.65
Running Balance: $1118.40

Magic Backing Bot – Days 67 to 74
27th January 2012
Sgt Colin reviews Magic Backing Bot
Here are the results for the eleventh week of the trial (up until Thursday 26th January)
Another mixed week last time out – would this be better?
21st January 7 selections, with a hat-trick of winners @ 2.22, 3.95 & 1.8. A gain of 1.28 points using advised stakes and 0.72 points on level stakes.
22nd January 3 selections – one winner @ 2.8 and two 2nd places. 1.29 point loss on the recommended staking plan & 0.29 lost using level stakes.
23rd January 3 selections – another 2nd place, follwed by 2 winners. 3.22 points gained on the staking plan, 1.83 on level stakes
24th January 4 selections. We drew a blank, with no winners. 4 points lost on level stakes, but 7 points down using the staking plan.
25th January Another 4 selections, and only 1 winner (at odds on). We lost 3.17 points on the staking plan, 2.17 points down to level stakes.
26th January 4 again today, with 2 winners. 3.03 points gained to the staking plan, 5.03 points to level stakes.
So during this week we had 25 selections, at average odds of 3.26 – with 9 winners (at average odds of 3.00) – a hit rate of 36%. We had a treble & a double, and a highest losing run of 4 . Using advised stakes we lost 3.93 points overall, whilst to level stakes we gained 1.12 points.
So using the advised bank of 75 points, we have the following statistics:
Advised stakes: 447 points staked, Gain to date 22.08 points (ROI = 4.9%). Current bank = 97.08 points (up 29.4%)
Level stakes: 279 points stakes, Gain to date 14.19 points (ROI = 5.1%). Current bank = 89.19 points (up 18.9%).
Hit rate: 34.4% Average Odds of winners : 3.15 Best winning run: 4 (twice) Worst losing run : 9 (twice).
So, another week which broadly broke even – again lowering the ROI somewhat.
Only a little more than 1 week to go until the trial ends.
Sgt Colin
