Jon says the reduced number of selections this month due to the weather is not helping.

I think it is worth mentioning that if the selection is available at shorter than 3.50 pre race, its ok to lay then rather than wait for the BSP as there are often selections that drift during the day. Same old problem of using BSP to record results but it does have its [pros and cons, because BSP stops all ambiguity on a reviewing pont of view.
