BetFair Pirate – Day 7

BetFair Pirate – Day 7

Hi Constables,

FOUR Selections today from the day’s 39 races.

I have looked back at ALL the past results since September and there has NEVER been FIVE consecutive LOSING days. Today was our FOURTH consecutive losing day. The big question is…..Do rules exist so that we can “Predict” the future….? OR are rules there to be broken…….? We will find out in 24 hours…….

June 7th:

Folkestone 14:15 Planet Red LAYED @ 5.60 LOST (+0.95 Points).

Newton Abbot 16:30 Stumped LAYED @ 4.90 LOST (+0.95 Points).

Folkestone 16:45 Mecox BayLAYED @ 5.30 WON (-4.30 Points).

Pontefract 18:45 Abidhabidubai LAYED @ 5.60 LOST (+0.95 Points).

Total For Today: -1.45 Points.

Cumulative Total For The Trial: -1.40 Points.

Just as a footnote, I have just seen that Jason, the author of the BetFair Pirate System, did actually have a couple of extra successful lays today. His system LAYED “Code Of The West” in the Listowel 13:50. I have taken a look at my Transaction Logs for the TWO PC’s that I am running the trial on and both of them attempted to Lay “Vintage Rally” in this race which was in the process of becoming a Non-Runner in the race.  Additionally his system also layed Geesala in the Naas 16:10 at a price of 6.00 and the selection was drifting considerably at the time so it is quite possible a number of people would not have this selection in their list for the day.

As it has been mentioned before, the system is very time sensitive and it is quite easy for two Users of the system to have unsychronized clocks getting different results. The hope is that with the imminent introduction of the stand alone system these discrepancies will be a thing of the past.

I suppose, given a long enough trial, the disparities should even themselves out, so it’s probably not fair to judge the results of the first three days (about a 10 pt loss for me). However, the bot is a 14 day trial, so will that be long enough to give a true picture?

Jason Harden @ 12:11 am #

Hi Scotty,

The overwhelming majority are getting the same results. We recognised the need to have a more robust bot within days, and a purpose built one was ordered straight away.

I provided the current version as a stepping stone until we could get the new one delivered. This was made clear from the outset.

No bot can provide 100% parity, unless it sends the tips out after they have been made using a server e.t.c.

BST will be giving the selections the same tests as any other system, this will include the new bot, which we will have ready for testing within days now.

Well, I had my 2nd winning day out of 4, but it’s all down to the flakiness of the bot.

Mine layed 3 of the 6 quoted in Jason’s test results – Planet Red, Stumped and Abidhabidubai for a 2.85 pt profit. Who knows maybe it will decide to pick only the winners tomorrow!

Honestly guys, there is such a wide disparity in the results folk are getting that a decent Bot is surely a prerequisite for a legitimate test?

Hi Bloggers,

Code Of The West will be removed from the trial results, it has not been achieved by anyone else involved in the trial.

As i have stated before i aim for transparency, so i also made a loss today with the selection removed.

Hi Dave,

You make a good point, and this is the reason i have commissioned a new purpose built bot, which is more reliable and provides more parity. The bot will be released in the next few weeks.

I can only report my findings as they are. I am working very hard to stop this from occuring.

There is definately no sting in my tail. BST is the only blog carrying out a official review of my system, i chose it because it is by far the biggest test i could have put my selections through.

Hmm. After years of being stung by the next wonder system, I’m very much a sceptic of these. Jason’s e-mail today says he made 0.35 pts profit, here it says a 1.45 pt loss and I personally made a 3.20 pt loss. Interesting disparity.
