AMG plays a defensive game and plays most of her matches on clay. She
has an 102-94 (91-88 tour level) record on hard court at all levels but
this is more than matched by Mirza with her 122-75 (85-63 tour level).
AMG can have problems against some aggressive players, especially on the
faster surfaces like this one. It’s 1-1 in the h2h but Mirza won the last
meeting 6-3 6-3 which was at New Haven, also a fast hard court.
AMG’s last few defeats have all come against aggressive players too, with
defeats against Sprem, A.Bondarenko and Rybarikova. Mirza is looking like
a value price.
