Arbitrage Spy Is A Scam…

arbitragespy Arbitrage Spy ScamI contacted you last week about the launch of Arbitrage Spy and I hope you took my advice and left it well alone until I had had my wicked way with it…

The only thing I can see that it has going for it is that it is different from the usual crap being sold online.

Last time I spoke to you, I told you I was having problems getting a review copy of the Arbitrage Spy software after being promised it, so I could check it out before the launch.

Not only did that not happen I am now being ignored. So I went on my merry way to buy Arbitrage spy at a cost of £47.

I purchased and came to downloading the Arbitrage Spy software, I managed to get the thing running but, where is the operating instructions? The tutorials? You get no instructions on how to use the software so everything is pure guess work. I am used to using complicated betting software so I was ok on my own initiative but, the less savvy punter would be having a complete nightmare at this point.

After using the software for a few hours I noticed that the interface was absolutely awful and none of the advices were actually available. Whenever a suspected arb became available I checked betfair and the price simply wasn’t available. Whenever an arb came up for the whole 3 hours I was using it, I was told the price was lower on betfair and higher on the bookies. By the time I checked it out (running betfair in a separate window simultaneously) This was not the case, It was the same price or better and this happened on all arbs it highlighted.

So In summary, Arbitrage Spy is a SCAM. It is a slick manoeuvre to rid you of your hard earned pounds but, they have done it in such a way as to stay under my radar. The product is unfinished and could have been so much better. The amount of money they are charging plus the annoying up sells are geared towards one thing only taking as much money as possible from cash strapped punters.

Hi I purchased this some time back and after installing it it said it had upgrade and to up grade, so I did.It did not find one arb in several days.

I tried to get a refund but they would not give one then just ignored me.
It is also now re-badged and going under the name of Bet Scalper and has Arbitrage Spy , Bet Scalper and a Bettors Bot so that it will put your bets on while you are asleep well it is no better, they did not send user name or password for Arbitrage Spy, Bet Scalper was finding arbs but the bettor bot did nothing.

No manuals come with it, after many emails they sent me a user name and password after putting them in to Arbitrage Spy it logs in then does not find one are all day on weekend races in the U/K. Also Bet Scalper now does not find any thing as well.

I am now trying to get a refund, but do not like my chances.

Stay away from this rubbish.

I bought this program and the up sell in the beginning of September and as stated above I felt like I would have got the same program without paying extra for the advanced.

I was disappointed, it seems to be thrown together without a manual and the first few days of trying it I got no arbs, then I started to get flooded with arbs every day. Not so many in this past week though.

I’ll make the rest quick as I agree with most of what has been stated above except for the fact that I have made some reasonable money with this program.

You need to check the odds before placing bets – I use the pop up windows from within the program and use an arb calculator to ensure that I’ll make money before placing.

I save all my bets with in 2 spreadsheets, which prove I’m in profit. It isn’t easy, but so far I’ve done okay.

I could not recommend it to others as I’m pretty savvy when it comes to working out how programs work and without an instruction manual this one could easily ruin anyone.

Made the mistake of purchasing this garbage on day one, knowing that if the software didn’t live up to the hype a full refund would be available from Clickbank. Unlike Melvyn, I chose not to go for the upsell ‘Advanced’ version.

I tried using the software the same morning with very similar results to Melvyn. In his sales page, Chris Archer (the developer) describes the program as:

“Push-Button Software That Puts This Unique ‘Arbitrage’ Secret On Complete Autopilot!”

He also states:

“Once you put this software into action, you won’t need…“Luck” – there’s no gambling whatsoever because Arbitrage Spy only places bets when you’re 100% guaranteed to make a profit…”

However, even if the arbs were available at the prices notified, the software requires monitoring while ever it is running and all bets have to be placed manually.

I requested a refund the same day, but Mr Archer seems very reluctant to comply with my request. I escalated my Clickbank refund request, but it was passed back to the vendor & closed by him without a refund with lots of bull***t about a new version coming out soon. Chris Archer has also sent me an email, part of which reads,

“- The version you have is the advanced Arbitrage Spy software, so don’t worry about not having that.

- Our product does have a 80-90% Strike rate, meaning 80-90% of the time you’ll profit, and other times you’ll breakeven, but not lose a dime.”

I have 2 major concerns with the above:

1) Although I did not purchase the ‘advanced’ version, Mr Archer tells me that this is the version I have. Melvyn, in his post, states that he paid the additional £47 plus vat for the ‘advanced’ version & presumably got the same version as me.

2) The sales page states that Arbitrage Spy only places bets when you’re 100% guaranteed to make a profit…”, yet in his email to me Mr Archer states that the product has an 80% to 90% strike rate.

I agree with the BSG that this is a complete scam. As far as legalities are concerned, I’d be very surprised if Chris Archer’s internet sales page does not breach UK advertising codes. However, he’s probably holed up in some place where he won’t be worrying about UK advertising codes.

Not got my refund yet, but I won’t give up till I have!

I am behind what Betting System Guru has said above – I bought this product as I know Clickbank will refund for any reason – this purchase is a very good reason! I opted for the upsell ‘advanced’ version which claims to offer more ‘exchanges’ (I guess they mean bookies)… There is nothing to say it is the advanced version and looking around the XML config files it would apper to only offer 9 or 10 bookies! So I am guessing the advanced is identical to standard version (same download link probably)!

The interface sucks and does crash occasionally – could live with that if it actually produced any arbs!

Unfortunately after 2 days testing – lots of ‘alleged arbs’ – but as pointed out above even with Betfair already open the real Betfair price is ALWAYS higher and usually considerably so – surprising when the market does not appear that volatile! So you look at the price over time graph (on Betfair) for the given selection and you will see that the ArbSpy quoted price has not been that low for some considerable time!

This software is worse (by a long way) than a couple of free oddschecker type sites that do provide realistic real time comparisons – on a much wider range of markets too! Of course you have to trawl through manually and calculate bets using another app (free ones available)… But what use is an automated service that spits out garbage?

My refund request has just gone in – I don’t need to wait anywhere near 60 days to appreciate the true value of this product…

Regarding the ‘profits’ shown on Betfair, there is a website where you can print off a Betfair account screenshot and put whatever figures you like into it!

ALan @ 1:58 pm #

The sales letter shows ‘Profits’ made on Betfair. This could likely be true, but what about the losses on the other side of the Arb at the other betting exchanges? That would whittle down the ‘profit’ quite considerably.

Hi Wendall,
I had not noticed the disclaimer on the guarantee – that really is the limit.

Actually from the review, I wondered if BST was being harsh. You can’t always see the price on an exchange (or a bookie) as available when you go to it because prices do change especially when liquidity is low or non-runners change things.

I had some questions which Iwas unable to get answered in the Chat on their website. So I sent them an email – no reply yet.

Perhaps the betting System Guru knows the answers:

1. The promotion blurb suggests that it actually places bets – I doubt that this is possible.

2. Does it show the amount available at the odds it shp0ws on the exchanges.

3. The promotion blurb suggests it uses multiple exchanges, does it in fact simultaneously scan all 3 i.e. Betfair, Betdaq and WBX ?

4. Which markets does it work on? Football, Racing, Dogs etc?

5. Isn’t it the case that (if it is a success) then the few buyers with fast internet, computer, fingers will arb away most potential arbs, leaving the slower buyers with guaranteed losses?

Thanks you saved me £47. I noticed that there were no training materials or even a glimpse of the software.

Also there is nowhere where it tells you they will support your technical queries.

Another big red flag was the price drop when i tried closing the page.

Also another big RED flag is the disclaimer notice, apparently the guarantee is only available for the launch day…lol…so seriously stay away people.

kev @ 3:26 pm #

A thousand thanks BST for the scam info. Really appreciate it and I hope you get your clickbank refund ok

Allan @ 1:03 pm #

Thank You!
You just saved me £47, I was seconds away from buying this “system”, but decided to google it first and came by this review.
