The Snout Introduction

Sgt Pete – Introduces The Snout
Sgt Pete here with my first ever review for Betting System Truths. I’ve been lurking around the betting and poker forums for many years under the handles ExcitableBoy or tigergambit, so it’s great to be able to put a little bit back. I’m 54 and grew up following JonJo O’Neill as a jockey round the Irish racecourses with my father. I’m not a massive bettor but I do believe in the concept of systems – after all we all use a system of some sort to select our bets, even if it’s just a vague one built on our own prejudices.
Paula has kindly allowed me to start off with a straightforward tipster review so here we go.
Review: The Snout from Tipsters Empire
Tipsters Empire is a tipping site started by James Walsh of JPW Racing which has been live since September 2015. “The Snout” is one of three original tipsters and hails from 30 miles up the road from me in Cheltenham.
This is a straightforward tipping system. Tips are provided by email the evening before racing with a descriptive paragraph outlining The Scout’s reasoning for each tip. These are well written and coherent. Tips cover UK, Irish and International racing. Tips are advised to a straight 1pt win or 0.5pt E/W.
This is quick and easy so won’t take much time to place your bets. The Snout gives advised prices and Tipsters Empire calculate his P/L on this basis. I will keep an eye on whether I believe these prices to be freely available but for the purposes of the review I will be using Betfair Starting Prices (BFSP) only as these are available to all.
Refreshingly The Snout offers an array of eight different payment options – from a single Saturday at £2.75 to a full year’s tips at £240. He is also sensible enough to say “No Tips” when the racing is poor, so junkies needn’t apply!
This is a straight tipping service so no special requirements
Staking plan and betting bank.
Again a straight tipping service so standard Betting System Truths Bank of 100 pts and stakes of 1pt will apply.
I hope to review daily other than at the weekends when I will combine Saturday and Sunday’s racing. This will be a standard 56 day review, extending to 84 if it is going well.
I hope you enjoy the review
