Week 1 – ending Sunday 22 March 2015

We are finding two football games per day and making 3 bets, 2 singles and a double on the selected teams to win.

As I suspected the selections are not quite as straightforward as the author suggests, and there is often scope for getting different matches to the next man. Friday was a good example. The top match was between Arsenal Sarandi in Argentina and Arsenal in London, a match that the Gunners were expected to win easily, if it had taken place. Second on the list was a Copa S.America game between Atletico Nacional and Barcelona SC which the selected team won at about 8.00, unfortunately it had already been played at 1.00 am. If anybody had picked this the night before they may have had a very good day, or not. The next two games had exactly the same rating and exactly the same odds, toss a coin? One would have won the double, the other would have lost, so somebody may be miles in front of me already.

But onto the games I did pick. I am not going to list them as there is no point and it might give the game away. I bet on each of the 7 days, following the rules as closely as I could. I had no wipeouts, at least one bet won each day, and on 2 days my double came up. On these 2 days I made 6.56 and 4.29 points profit, each of the other days was a loss of between 0.75 and 1.67 points. The net profit on the week was 5.54 points, a good start.

This Week

  • Betting Days – 7
  • No Wins – 0
  • One Win – 5
  • Double – 2
  • Net Profit – 5.54 points
