D G Tips Review Day 31

Sgt Mick Review

Dear Member
Our sole tip today is still to run later at Newcastle, fingers crossed for a good performance.
Tips for Friday 1st December, 2017

2.25 Newbury – Oldgrangewood 6-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W won 6/1 returned £46
Oldgrangewood looks worth some each way support in here. He has run three great races this season, the form of those runs are very strong and if turning up in similar form here he should go very close. He has been dropped an extra 2lb by the handicapper and also takes a drop in grade, both factors should help and he will love the forecast ground.
5.45 Chelmsford – Call out Loud 6-1 widely available/Summer Icon 6-1 widely available
Both 0.5pts E/W Call Out Loud won 5/1  returned £40 /  Summer Icon 3rd 6/1 returned £10
Call Out Loud ran a really eye-catching race over this C and D last time out. He had the worst of the draw and also blew the start by a good few lengths. That left him trailing in last and it was too his credit that he finished so strongly for a 2l’s 6th. He has a much better draw tomorrow in stall 5 and that really is key for this horse. He racked up a treble last year on the AW making all on each occasion and with a good draw at a track that suits front runners I would be surprised if he didn’t go close under a prominent ride. That last run confirmed he is in rude health and under his regular jockey (an asset in apprentice races) this one should run a huge race. I also can’t leave out Summer Icon, she has a very good apprentice booked and went close for us last time out over this C and D. She had a tough draw that day and had to come widest of all, again she has a wide draw tomorrow which isn’t ideal but she has already shown she can still go close. Dropped 1lb in what looks an easier race on paper she could easily defy that tough draw.
9.15 Chelmsford – Nevalyashka 10-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W Fin. Unp -£10
An interesting race, we have Dangerous Ends in here who won for us last time out and we also have The Gay Cavalier who we put up the other day but was made a non runner. I am going to overlook both in here however as I like the angle with Nevalyashka. They could quite easily have won a maiden with this horse so it is interesting that they pitch him straight into handicaps. The form of his last maiden run is fairly strong (certainly suggests his mark is lenient) and Tregoning always seems to save some good rides for this apprentice jockey Tyler Saunders. They have a good draw, he quite clearly stays the trip and off what looks to be a lenient mark he could go very close.
Good Luck
