Dear Member
A rather unlucky start to the day. Sacred Act defied weakness in the market (drifted to 12-1) to be beaten just a neck on the line by the fav. I do however think we would of been on the winner if Mr Bossy Boots had got a clear run. Cruising into it in 3rd Kingscote went for a gap up the rail as they turned into the straight however the leader drifted across and Kingscote had no choice but to pull him up quickly. Still the each way returns saved us a loss but it should have been a win and a place.
We then had Melodic Motion finish 2nd, he was almost brought down on the back straight and as a result James Doyle was forced to move MM up around the outside of the field to sit on the leaders tail. That has cost him in the finish going down by 1l.
1pt down on the day so far but with four tips at Chelmsford to go I am confident we can come away with a healthy profit.
A pretty poor day tomorrow racing wise however there are some tra cker horses running at Newcastle so we will stick with them.
Tips for Friday 3rd November, 2017

7.45 Newcastle – Deansgate 7-2 widely available Unplaced at 9/2 – £10
1pt win
These 7f handicaps at Newcastle have been serving us well and I want Deansgate on side tomorrow. He should really have won last time out over this C and D but for trouble in running late on. That was his first appearance after a break and he should come on for it. It is extremely tight between both Acrux and Deansgate on that form and I will be gutted if Acrux wins given the fact we backed him last time out however he doesn’t have Tudhope on board and that puts me off him. Deansgate loves this track, 7f’s in his trip and Joe Doyle always rides him. He seems to be improving lately and with a lot of pace in this race it should set up nicely for him.
8.15 Newcastle – Casterbridge 4-1 widely available/Astrophysics 15-2 widely available Casterbridge WON at 11/4 +£25 Astophysics Lost -£10
Both 0.5pts E/W
Two in here make plenty of appeal. Firstly Casterbridge was drawn the wrong side last time out over this C and D but after giving it a bold sight from the start he rallied strongly once passed to finish 2nd. He has a low draw tomorrow which should make it easier to make all, making all at this track can be difficult but on the balance of that last performance Casterbridge may just be able to do it. Astrophysics also looks dangerously well treated in here. He has been running well on turf recently finishing 2nd last time out however a key factor here is that he has ran three times over this C and D and they have produced arguably his best performances to date. He finished 4th, 4th and 3rd all of a mark of 73 in competitive class 5 handicaps. Tomorrow he runs of 66 and this race does look less competitive so he should go very close in here.
Good Luck
