The softer the ground gets the more confident I get that Mount Mews will destroy his rivals here. His most impressive performance came when tried on heavy ground in a grade 2. Yes he has to defy top weight in here however I just think he is potentially a very smart grade 1 performer running in an easy enough race here. I think he will win this and win it well before a tilt at the Fighting Fifth.

Gun Case is worth a bet in here. He went close two starts back of this mark when his jockey left it too late. He was never in the hunt last time out however that run can be forgiven as they went slow up front and the race didn’t pan out in Gun Case’s favour. He is back down 1lb and the visor is applied for the first time. Philip Makin takes over on board and they all look positive moves.

Heavenly Love really impressed me on her last start. She kicked 4l’s clear turning for home and that sort of speed could be crucial at Del Mar tomorrow. Her trainer seems very confident about her chances and from stall 1 as long as she breaks well she could easily make all here under a determined ride. She’s an each way price and worth siding with over the fav.

7.37 Del Mar – Lady Aurelia 1-1 Bet365 LOST at 8/11 sp -£10

We were on Marsha last time when she beat Lady Aurelia however York as a track will have suited Marsha however on a turning track I really find it hard to see how Lady Aurelia gets beat. It is all about pure speed on a turning track like Del Mar and Lady Aurelia simply has amazing speed. She should win this in style.
