D G Tips Review Day 72

Sgt Mick Review

12th January

Dear Member
Great performance from Bridge Builder last night to win by a neck. Strategic Heights led from stall 11 which I didn’t see happening but that did give Bridge Builder a good trail into the race in 2nd. He quickened nicely, and he will win again with a good draw at Lingfield as going right handed aren’t his ideal conditions.
D’bai won with a large amount in hand. I honestly think that if they dropped this horse back to 6f’s they could have a group sprinter on their hands here. He showed so much speed and his change of gear in the final furlong was very impressive.
We still have one to go at Chelmsford, he has been well backed so let’s hope he puts in a good performance.

Tips for Friday 12th  January, 2018

1.20 Lingfield – Dark Alliance 1-1 widely available
1pt win Won 5/4 Returns £21.75
Dark Alliance won for us earlier in the week with a lot in hand. I mentioned then that he would be out again soon as he doesn’t carry a penalty for that apprentice race success. He couldn’t have been more impressive the other day and looks certain to take all the beating in here. He has a good draw in stall 4, Greatrex keeps the ride which is a positive and in a similar looking race he should back that win up. The only difference is the trip however he finished so strongly over 7f’s the last twice I see this extra furlong as a positive if anything. He is shorter than I’d usually go but profit is profit and he looks set to return just that.
3.50 Lingfield – Roundabout Magic 5-2 widely available
1pt win Fin Unp -£10
Roundabout Magic really impressed me last time out with how strongly he finished the race getting up with something to spare. Technically speaking he runs of a lower mark tomorrow with his inexperienced apprentice claim taken into consideration. From stall 2 this really won’t be the most difficult of rides, so Levi William’s inexperience doesn’t really worry me. As long as the pair break well from stall 2 and can get a good position tracking the pace then this horse should really go very close with luck in running.
5.00 Dundalk – Danz Gift 8-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W  Fin 3rd Returns £13
Danz Gift really caught my eye over this C and D last time out. He was denied a clear run for pretty much the whole final furlong and went down as an unlucky loser. He has been dropped a huge 5lb by the handicapper on the back of his run before that so he now looks very well treated. He has stall 4 which is a great draw and with a better run through tomorrow he should go very close. A nice each way price is a bonus.

Three selections today,1 winner 1 placed and 1 unplaced. Stake £30 Returns £34.75 A small profit of  £4.75 but it enables us to fight another day.
