Odds On Ron – Days 47 to 51

Hi, Sgt Colin here, with the latest update on the performance of the Odds On Ron system.
I initially started with a bank of 100 points, staking 1 point per selection (using level stakes) and aiming to return c4 points per day (using the staking plan). After 46 days we were ahead by 34.0 points to level stakes, and 170.3 points using the advised staking plan.
Day 47 – 23rd October
There were 5 selections today, The first selection came first (our 29th winner) – so we stopped. Unfortunately the odds had shortened to 2.83, so we won 2 points using level stakes, 2.6 points using the staking plan.
Little did I know that that would be our last success for a while…………..
Day 48 – 24th October
6 selections today. The first horse came 2nd, the place paying out at odds against. So to level stakes we stopped, gaining 0.2 points. The 4th & 5th selections also placed, but we lost 6.1 points on the day.
Day 49 – 25th October
4 selections – a 2nd and 3 nowhere. 6.3 points lost to level stakes, 30.2 points lost to level stakes.
Day 50 – 1st November.
Away for a while, so yesterday was Day 50, and we were in profit recovery mode on the staking plan. 4 selections made. Had I simply let the plan work to recover all previous losses, I would have risked 109 points in the day. I decided to retain a level profit target of 27 points for the day (the profit target for the last race on Day 49), and therefore staked 8 points to level stakes, 55.5 points using the staking plan.
The first horse was placed, but the last 3 selections were all out of the places by 1 position. We lost a further 6.5 points to level stakes, 42.2 points using the staking plan – where the bank was now down to 194.5 points, having been 273 points earlier in the week.
Day 51 – 2nd November
4 selections. Same profit target used for the staking plan as yesterday. Fortunately our first selection was a winner (following a losing run of 14 selections), and we gained 4.1 points to level stakes, 36.4 points using the staking plan.

Level Stakes: Initial bank 100 Total staked 213 points Profit 27.4 points Closing Bank 127.4 ROI 13%
We have achieved a 21% hit rate on win bets (30 wins), and 49% of selections have placed (or won). In sharp contrast to earlier in the trial, the winning horses have contributed almost all of the profit, with the place bets returning only 2% on investment.
