This is the further continuation, but final report on the Golf Bet Profits results.

Week 30 – This week was devoted entirely to the World Golf Championship, The Bridgestone International, at Firestone CC, Akron, Ohio. There were only three main bets: a straight win on Rory McIlroy, who made steady progress through the rounds but could only finish sixth; Dustin Johnson, who tied in 48th place and Jhonattan Vegas who finished in joint 66th place.

Two extra bets were advised for the last round where leader Adam Scott was successfully backed to win, clawing back 12.5 points, and Hennie Otto was backed to Beat Tiger Woods in the final round, which he did by a stroke – another 8.4 points profit. A successful last-round salvage job! A profit of 10.9 points on Week 30 – overall a loss of 30.34 points.

Week 31 – Another week  where only one competition was covered, this time the US PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club, Johns Creek, Georgia. Lee Westwood was the main bet this week and he finished just outside the places, tying in eighth. Webb Simpson had a bad start and could not do much better in the second round so missed the cut. Zach Johnson was tying with Westwood after the first but could not improve and finished in joint 59th.

There was an extra bet on Charl Schwartzel, who it was felt was a value bet at 25/1 and only five shots back, but he shot his third 71 of the competition and could only finish in joint 12th position. A loss of 15 points on Week 31 – overall a loss of 45.34 points.

Total loss after 31 weeks = 45.34 points

Despite a small profit on week 30 there was another loss overall over the two weeks. This may not be the largest carried-forward loss during these reviews, but it is enough to draw a close on this continuation of Golf Bet Profits. Having conceded to the view that the service was a long-term investment and increased the usual eight-week reviews, the service has rarely been out of the red and, even when it has been in profit, did not produce enough points to justify the membership fee. Seven months is probably enough.

I may be wrong, but it is also evident to me that, having had no feedback or comments from readers, there has been very little interest in the continued reviews anyway. Maybe enough was enough after the final review.

Best Regards

Sergeant John
