Today, I selected Man City v Fulham. City scored in the first half for our profit by half time. The profit was disappointing. Sometimes we seem to do better when it stays 0-0 rather than going the expected way. The author, Michael, e-mailed me to say that the profit is low, so far in the review. He says that the loss incurred on day 16 with Stuttgart’s unexpected win is just the sort of loss that it is sometimes impossible to avoid.
The problem, as I see it is that the potential liability when things go wrong is high compared to the steady gains that are normally made. So as I said at the start of the review period, the trick is to try to avoid matches that might produce an unexpected result.
In summary, I’ve had 14 winning days, 3 losing days and 6 no bet days. I’ve done 23 matches with 19 of them making a profit.
