New week, we start with two at Wolverhampton tomorrow.

Landing Night is in terrific form and his run over this  C and D two starts back looks very strong with the 3rd winning since and the 4th a very good 2nd at Newcastle behind a progressive one. Landing Night remains on the same mark and from stall 2 he should have everything run to suit. I was taken by the way he travelled two starts back and with only one confirmed front runner (Old Fashioned) he should be very well placed to run him down.

Royal Reserve was stepped up to 2m’s for the first time last time out at Kempton. The race was run at a false pace, the winner made all and from last position Royal Reserve did really well to finish 3rd. He quite clearly has no problem getting the trip and with a stronger run race to suit he should go very close. He likes to be held up and settled into a rhythm so luck in running will be needed but that’s racing and I’m willing to take the risk. This is much easier than the race he ran in last time out and he should find things happening much easier at the business end.
