Flat Ratings Pro – Day 34

5 February – Day 34

The six selections today had the first five home amongst them with Hazzard County winning. I monitored the prices for this race at different times of the day and managed to get matched straight away on four selections first thing this morning, at higher prices than the Value Price. One other selection was matched later on.

One of the higher odds horses was the winner, who matched at 6.40. This differs from the results on the site which matched Hazzard County at 6.20 and bases their profit margin on that figure. I am going to stick with my figure because that is exactly what I got and also illustrates the different prices you can get if you happen to place your bet at the right time. It is a matter of swings and roundabouts when it comes to the ‘right time’. I have matched bigger than the Value Price before but it matters not a jot if the nag does not win. I matched Kilburn at 14.50 this morning when the Value Price was 12.50. It finished third. I also think it matters that I use the price I get because this is an independent review and not one subject to any influence from the site I am reviewing (so there! LOL).

Everymanforhimself  was 9.20 this morning when the Value Price asking figure was 10.09. It never did get any higher and I saw it flashing through at around 5.50 at the off.

So, Hazzard County came in at 6.40 (+5.4 points), four bets lost (-4 points) and one bet lapsed. A gross profit of 1.40 points, but with 5% Betfair commission taken off = +1.33 points. And the winning run goes on…

Just to remind you, there are no selections on a Sunday.

Running Bank after Day 34 = 127.83 points (plus 27.83 points)

Best Regards

Sergeant John
