We started the week with the bank down at a very disappointing 77.9 points, with both golf & football selections well in the red. Could we recover some lost ground this week?

Golf Tips:

2 golf tournaments this week, the Barclays in the US, and the Johnny Walker in Europe. 5 top 10 finisher selections in each , 7 72 hole match bets, and two accumulators. Another pretty dire week in the US, with no winners from 10 bets, but the Johnny Walker was a different story, with the Gaffa selecting 3 top 10 finishers from 5 bets, at odds of 3.5, 6.0 & 8.0. 1 winner from the 72 hole match bets – so despite the wipeout in the Barclays, we ended 0.4 points up

Overall we’re 13.3 points down from 103 points staked

Football Tips:

4 win bets in midweek, a double chance accumulator and 4 both team to score selections & an accumulator. The double chance bets were scuppered by Celtic, and we had only 1 winner from the win bets. 3 out of 4 on the both teams to score (Feyenoord let us down for the accumulator).

A clean sweep from 4 bets at the weekend though, with Stoke & QPR winning & both Fulham & Arsenal finding the net.

15 points staked, 0.8 points gained. Overall we’re still well in the red – 7.6 points lost on 55 points staked overall.

A slightly better week then, although the return & hit rate were still poor :

  • Opening Bank 100
  • Staked 158 points
  • Loss to date: 20.93
  • Closing bank 79.07

Hit rate is 37%, and the ROI is -13%.

Here’s hoping for a continued improvement over the next few weeks.
