Hi, Sgt Colin here, with my latest review for BettingSystemtruths.com. I am reviewing the Lay Bet Dominator service, a straightforward horseracing tipping service which selects horses to lay on the betting exchanges.
The website suggests 3 potential staking plans;
a) fixed liabilities, whereby whatever the odds the liability remains the same on each bet in £ terms.
b) % liabilities, whereby the liability on each bet is a fixed % of the betting bank
c) fixed stakes, where the profit target for each bet remains the same in £ terms. Thus the higher the odds, the higher the liability.
I am monitoring the performance of the Lay Bet Dominator service, using Betfair SP as the odds, for each of the 3 staking plans, starting with a 100 point bank and staking 5 points (Plan a), 5% of the bank (Plan b) and aiming for 5 points profit (Plan c).
The first selection was a winner (coming 11th), but we then had the following run:
Day 2 – 4 selections made. 3 Selections won their races at 2.47, 1.83 & 2.21. The other selection was invalid as the odds were too high.
Day 3 – 3 selections made, the only valid selection also won its race – @ 2.34.
Day 4 – 2 selections made – both invalid
Day 5 – 3 selections – and another 2 first places @ odds of 2.44 & 3.0. The other selection was invalid.
Day 6 – 2 selections – both invalid
Day 7 – 2 selections – 1 invalid – and the other won it’s race at 2.43. So 7 consecutive losing bets – surely this would have to change soon?
Day 8 – 1 selection, but invalid
Day 9 – 1 selection, and it duly finished first @ 1.87. At this point we had 8 consecutive losing bets – which if backed would have given us a 776-1 accumulator!
Day 10 – 2 selections, 1 invalid, but at last a winner, the horse coming third at odds of 2.39.
So what has that done in terms of our bank?

Staking Plan b) Opening Bank 100, Staked 43.1 Loss 29.2 Closing bank 70.8 ROI -67.2%
Staking Plan c) Opening Bank 100, Staked 67.4 Loss 43.4 Closing bank 56.6 ROI -64.5%
