Hi Bloggers

Well, we had a selection today! Here is what they sent out this morning:

Kempton 21:20 – Via Aurelia

“A poor final race of the day and having finished a clear 2nd on her previous outing, James Fanshawe’s entry is expected to go off a very short price here. However, there a few negatives that mean she is opposable. Has never run at Kempton and perhaps more importantly, she makes her All Weather debut here so it is unknown whether she will enjoy the surface. She pulled 9 lengths clear of the 3rd horse in her last race but looked a little ungenuine towards the finish. She appeared to edge left so this right handed course won’t necessarily suit her. She has been raised 8lbs for that run and the winner has come out since and been soundly beaten at Newmarket at a very short price. Trainer’s record here is below average and Pat Cosgrave has never ridden her before. As we say, this is a poor race and some more competition would have made this a more confident lay. However, given her likely price, there are enough negatives to suggest some value to layers and we recommend lay subject to maximum odds of 3.25”

As with the previous selections, this one also obliged and came in 4th out of 14 runners at a Betfair SP of 2.31 (the ISP was 1.38).

This gave us a profit for the day after commission of £38.00 or 1 point at level stakes. Our bank (which started at £2,000) now stands at £2,190.00 giving us a profit to date of £190.00 or 5 points at level stakes.

Let’s hope for more of the same to follow.

Kind regards

Tony
