We had another selection today and this time it was not declared a non runner! Here is what they recommended:
“York 18:30 – King Of Eden
Has been a credit to connections bagging 4 wins out of 5 races and is expected to go off short here today. There are, however, a few negatives that mean he is opposable. Has been very much an improving sort seeing out the 6f trip well, but this looks to be his most competitive race so far (probably more competitive than the betting is likely to suggest). He is untried at York so course suitability is unknown. Today’s forecast going is Good ground and all of his 4 wins have come on Good to Firm going. Previous attempts at Good or softer ground have seen him unplaced. He has been raised 7lbs for his latest win and is now racing off an Official Rating 27lbs higher than 3 months ago (that said he has improved when asked to). He is drawn from stall 1 and the better ground has tended to be up the middle, so whilst no rain is forecast in the area, it is unlikely that the ground will dry sufficiently for him. Trainer has a decent record in these races here but favourites have a low strike rate in 4YO+ handicaps at the track. Others are starting to look weighted to win and we recommend lay subject to maximum odds of 3.75″
The selection obliged by coming in 3rd out of the 12 runners, giving us a net profit for the day of £38.00 or 1 point at level stakes.
Our bank is now standing at £2,179.20 giving us a profit to date for the trial of £179.20 or 4.93 points at level stakes.
