Hi Bloggers

Another selection today and here is what we were recommended to lay:

“Newcastle 16:05 – Primaeval

Fairly unexposed James Fanshawe colt who attempts to complete a hat trick today. However, there are several negatives that make him opposable. He is upped in Class today and tackles course for the first time so suitability is unknown. His 2 wins have come on a Good to Firm surface on turf and All Weather Polytrack (which is similar to Good/Good to Firm) whereas today’s forecast going is Good to Soft (Soft in places). It is therefore not guaranteed that he will enjoy that amount of give in the ground. Raised 6lbs for a 3/4 length win he carries more weight today (9st 8lbs) than he has ever shouldered previously. Not run for 87 days so fitness, form and wellbeing are taken on trust (although, to be fair his last win was after a break). Trainer has had zero wins from 2 attempts at the track in the last 5 years and jockey rides for the first time today. This race is competitive enough with proven horses at this class and on this surface. We recommend lay subject to maximum odds of 5.0″

The selection did as Martin suggested and trotted up 10th out of 10 giving us a profit for the day of £38.00 or 1 point at level stakes. Our cumulative bank now stands at £2,217.20 giving us a profit for the trial so far of £217.20 or 5.93 points at level stakes.

In summary, since the trial started on 1 July we have had 11 selections of which 1 won and the other 10 lost.

Enjoy your weekend

Kind regards

Tony
