Hi Bloggers

Another selection today and here is what we were advised:

Chepstow 14:45 – Jasmeno

Recent 2nd sees Selection as likely favourite in a poor race here. There are however a few negatives that make her opposable. Still a maiden, her last run was another weak race where she came second in a 4 runner field. 3rd horse has run again since and was beaten 12 lengths. She is untried at the track so course suitability is unknown andshe tackles 1m 4f for the first time today, which is 2 furlongs further than previous runs. Trainer’s strike rate in this age group here is OK but jockey rides for the first time. Small concern around her Official Rating which has dropped 11lbs in under 2 months. However, she is up against rivals that are proven at course & distance andwe recommend Lay subject to maximum odds of 6.0

Like the well trained animal that it is, the selection obliged by coming in a respectable 7th out of 13 runners. This gave us a profit for the day of £38.00 or 0.95 points at level stakes. Our cumulative bank is now at £2,060.40 giving us a profit to date of £60.40 or 1.51 points at level stakes.

It is mea culpa time for me, as Martin advised me that up until now I have been taking the pounds value of the winnings at 95% to allow for the Betfair commission, but have been allocating a full point at level stakes, rather than 0.95 of a point, to also allow for the Betfair commission. This means that I have been overstating the profit slightly on a level stakes basis. Thanks to Martin for letting me know and apologies for the error on my part, which has now been rectified.

Until tomorrow

Kind regards

Tony
