Hi Bloggers

Another selection today and the advice was:

Leicester 15:50  – Spensley

A Course & Distance winner in his final race of 2009 and the booking of Kieren Fallon sees the Selection as forecast favourite. A few negatives, however, make him opposable. His only win was in a Class 5 race and he is yet to perform at this level – indeed that win was the only time he has shown any sort of form. His 2010 debut saw him finish well down the field after a long absence and whilst he should now strip considerably fitter, it’s worth noting that his only win was after a break of over 60 days so he may be a better horse when fresh. Trainer has 2 wins from 16 runs in this age group here in the last 5 years and other Trainers in the race enjoy much better strike rates. Jockey rides for the first time (although the booking of Fallon be significant). Only concern is that connections have clearly been patient with him and it may be that he has been showing signs of good work at home. However, apart from his win by the distance of a head at 16/1, he has shown little other form.

The selection came in third of 9 runners at a Betfair SP of 10.20 (ISP 15/2). This gave us a profit for the day of £38.00 or 0.95 of a point at level stakes after taking Betfair commission into account. Our bank stands at £2,174.40 giving us a profit to date of £171.40 or 4.36 points at level stakes. Quite a nice weekend’s profit, so let’s hope the run continues.

Kind regards

Tony
