Hi Bloggers

We had a selection today and here is what the authors emailed me:

Bath 15:00 – Volito

A good 3rd on reappearance after being off for almost a year should see Jonjo O’Neill’s horse go off short here. However, there are a few negatives that make him opposable. Only previous visit to track saw him finish 7th of 9 and his only win came at a furlong shorter than this off of a mark 4lb lower. Carries more weight today (9st 12lbs) than ever before. Whilst he should be a bit sharper for his recent run following a lay off, Trainer tends to get his horses fairly well tuned so any improvement may only be slight. Not known for training sprinters, O’Neill has not won here in 5 seasons (admittedly only had 3 runners in that time). Drawn in stall 3 isn’t the best place to be. Up against proven course and distance winners, we recommend lay subject to maximum odds of 5.0 REMEMBER WE ARE BACKING THIS HORSE TO LOSE.

The selection duly came in 2nd out of 8 runners at a Betfair SP of 3.75 (and an ISP of 15/4) resulting in a net profit for the day of £8.00 or 1 point at level stakes.

Our cumulative bank now stands at £2,076.00 giving us a profit to date of £76.00 or 2 points at level stakes (that is 2 out of 2 losing bets, just for the record, as we don’t have a selection every day).

That’s all folks, short and sweet

Kind regards

Tony
