After a few blank days, we have two selections today:
Ayr 16:20 – Mirrored
Forecast favourite in a competitive looking race. However, with several negatives we can look to oppose him today. Not performed well in this class for some time and indeed has struggled in recent lower class races than this. Untried at track or on a Good to Soft surface so course and going suitability are unknown. there are rivals in the race with better recent form.
Pontefract 16:30 – Ultimate Quest
Selection is forecast favourite coming from the powerful Prescott yard. There are however some negatives that make him opposable. Never raced at Pontefract and his only win to date was on the All Weather. Not run for 71 days so fitness, form and wellbeing are all unknown. Trainer has had just 1 winner in this age group here in the last 5 years and jockey rides for the first time.
Mirrored came in last of the 8 runners at a Betfair SP of 10.00 (ISP 7/1) giving us a profit of £38.00 or .095 of a point at level stakes. Ultimate Quest came in first of the 13 runners at a Betfair SP of 3.03 (ISP15/8) giving us a loss of -£81.20 or -2.03 points at level stakes.
Our cumulative bank stands at £1,608.80 giving us a loss to date of -£391.20 or -9.78 points.
