Total Football Trading The Paper Chaser – Day 3

6th October 2011

Hi Bloggers, Sgt Colin here with the 3rd day’s results for TFT The Paper Chaser.

Again very few games being played yesterday with decent amounts of money being staked on them pre kick off, so still a limited choice. Again I had one selection.

Charlton v Brentford
We layed Charlton at 1.94 (to a liability of 100 points). As a bet this would have been a good move as Charlton were well & truly turned over! However, that isn’t the game here. As on Tuesday, initially the trade moved in our favour, but fell into negative territory, and hit the stop loss (1.88), at which point I closed out, resulting in a loss of 3.4 points. I didn’t have the same problems with price gapping – as the price movement was steady.
Annoyingly, this was almost the low point for the market, as Charlton’s price lengthened again, and if I’d left the trade run to the cut off point, I’d have made a very small gain.

So, three days gone, three selections, 1 winner, 2 losers (33% hit rate).
Cumulative loss 8.92 points,
Betting bank 991.18 (from 1000 start point).
ROI (based on 300 points invested) – minus 2.97%.
Lots to ponder here – most notably whether I need to tighten the selection criteria, as the manual provides a degree of discretion in this area.
