Hi Bloggers

Day 26,27,28 and 29  Feb 4,5,6 and 7 2010

First of all a big apology, as I have not been able to update the blog every day with my Mum still very ill  , however I have been taking the telephone selections from the author and have reviewed the last few days below (I have also discovered that the telephone cost has an immediate connection charge with BT and a 1minute call is approx 15p; 2 minutes approx 20p).

On Thursday Feb 4th,  there were no selections for the system in the UK, but the author stated that the Racing Post now provides the  necessary data for Irish Racing, therefore 2 possible selections in the 245 and 345 at Clonmel.

Although the profit margin was below our 30% being used in this review, there were 2 winners from the selections at 7/4 and 3/1( the profit margins were around 19% and 15% respectively) .

Friday 5th Feb

2 Races for selection in the 32o and 355 at Catterick, again another 2 winners for the system at  5/4 and 5/2, but both below our 30% profit margin.

Sat 6th Feb

I have gone into the selections in a little more detail, as there were 5 races to choose from!

Doncaster 120 Tazbar Won @ 13/8    Profit Margin 27%  Total Stake £26.96

This race would have produced a profit of £10.01

Lingfield  2.0  Ginger Grey W9/4  Profit Margin 30.77% (which fits our criteria)  Total Stake £26.33   Profit + £9.88

Sandown  2.05

This race sat at a profit margin of around 14.78% and would have involved a total stake on 3 horses of £57.65.
Now personally I would have not risked this stake and left the race alone.

If you had taken the option, none of the horses won and you would have been down £57.65, as an outsider
Diktalina Won the race  at 16/1.

Wetherby 355

This race had a massive profit margin at  51.35%, with the result and selections follows:

Robbers Glen    W11/4    stake £5.19  Return £19.46 Profit £9.99
I see a Star      6/1                         £2.78
Take The Stand   12/1                £1.50

Total Stake                                      £9.47

On Sunday, there were again 5 races for selection with the system

Fontwell  150  Again another winner for the system at 11/10 but the profit margin was around 8%,which would have meant high stakes for a £10 return.

Musselburgh 230  The profit margin for this race was around 17%  and yet another winner for the system at Even money.

There were also 3 Irish races at Leopardstown in the 240; 345 and 42o

The 240 met our 30% profit margin, but would have lost us £21.82.

The  345  race and the 420 race did not meet the criteria.

Using our 30% profit margin the updated situation is noted below, there were 2 winners at 9.88 and 9.99, less the Irish loss of 21.82.

Cumulative Profit  25.81 pts  (starting bank 1000 running total 1025.81)

Clearly this method does have some potential, but you do have to be selective in your bets, if we had used a profit margin of 15% and over, the figures above would have been around 65.81 pts profit!  The author states 10% as a minimum, but personally I think 15% should be the very minimum before contemplating a bet, as the lower the profit margin the higher your stake and potential loss.
