Hi Constables

Today we had 2 selections, which is a first since the start of the review.

Each Way Value:
3.50  Yarmouth 8. Astral Flower  0.4pt  e/w (6/1 Bet365*/Coral*/Betfred*)
This is a very well bred filly and whilst there is risk to this race with it containing so many un-exposed types, I do think there is still a little value in this one. She improved in two starts as a 2yo and is bred for this distance. I fully expect her to have improved over the winter under the Champion trainer and with the yard banging in the winners, including many in Maidens, she looks a decent each way bet.

Result – 2nd

6.00 Newton Abbot 9.  Be My Light  0.2pt  e/w (12/1 Bet365*/Totesport*/Paddy*)
Most can be discounted here having shown no ability. Of the 5 that I have shortlisted the favourite has decent form but is no world beater. Way Back When would probably be of interest each way at the tissue price of 5/1 but is too short right now and hasn’t run over hurdles yet. Illegale could be useful but hasn’t run over hurdles and its her first run in this country. Detroit Red showed nothing in Bumpers and although better on hurdles debut I am not convinved at all by that form with it being such a poor race. Therefore the best value looks to be Be My Light. She was placed in three starts in bumpers and its probably worth discounting her run on the AW at Southwell, her hurdling debut was promising given she raced off the pace but still managed 5th, and may be wuited by and extra 3f. 12/1 is a nice price as we are getting almost 5/2 for her to finish in the top 3. “

Result – 3rd

Best Odds Guarantee where  6/1 on the first race and 14/1 on the second, both paying 1/5 odds for a place.
