Of the runners that have ran this season none have shown much ability, so it looks likely that the winner will com from one of the runners that showed good form last season. Of the newcomers, the only one that you wouldn’t want to rule out is the Stoute trained Island Dreams, but he had a compartitevely low strike rate of 10% with 3yos first time out last season and on the balance of probability, will most likely need the run. So that leaves Scorn, Giants Play and Shimmering Surf, all of which showed good form last Autumn. The form of Shimmering Surf however, looks particulary encouraging having finished 2nd, splitting two horses that have since won listed races. So at 5/1 she looks a nice price in this. ”
