Hi Constables

Another day with no selections…

Each Way Value:
Nothing today.

” The 2.30 at Kempton was the closest I came to a bet today and those of you that are following the flat laying system will recognise that the favourite is a lay. However although I’m happy to follow the system, I wouldn’t say it looks the strongest selection and I cant find anything to take it on each way with.
The mount of Kieren Fallon Beach Patrol showed ability on debut in March but has since flopped twice on the turf. I cant help question the form of that ones debut as it was one of the first 2yo races and I cant be at all confident in a return to form. The Richard Hannon “2nd string” Avonmore Star, is on the face of it interesting. I always look very carefully at so called 2nd strings as the market can get it wrong and there is often value. The Hannon team has won 10 of the 22 2yo Maidens that they have contested this year so 15/2 might seem like a nice price, but Patrick Hills has ridden 50 2yo’s for Richard Hannon without one single success! That is a feat in itself and is enough of a negative to put me off Avonmore Star. None of the other newcomers are from stables with any record of success first time out so I not going in each way.
If you are following the lay system you should have already had 7/7 successful lays so you’ll still be in profit whether or not you lay Jambo Bibi. “
