Hi Bloggers

Well, we did get a selection today, which duly obliged for us. Here are the details:

“Redcar 16:20 – Go Nani Go

Tricky handicap where Selection is forecast favourite following his recent 3rd at Doncaster at a big price, on his seasonal reappearance. There are a few negatives, however, that make him opposable. Fairly unexposed, he is untried at Redcar so course suitability is unknown. His only win was over 5 furlongs as a two year old on Good to Soft going (today is 6 furlongs on Firm going). His other decent runs all seem to be with some give in the ground so it is questionable how he will enjoy today’s Firm going which he tries for the first time. Official rating of 84 looks plenty high enough and he carries top weight today of 9st 12lbs which is a more weight than he has ever shouldered before. Concern is that he has clearly had problems over the last 2 seasons and could prove a threat if he’s now over them and Trainer has a good strike rate in this age group here (although not the highest in the race). However, there are enough negatives and with a few rivals that look to have better chances so we recommend lay subject to maximum odds of 4.2″

The selection came in 5th out of 7 runners at a Betfair SP of 4.90 (the ISP was 7/2).

This gave us a profit for the day of £38.00 or 1 point at level stakes. In this review since 1 July we have had 7 ‘winning’ selections out of 7, which means that our £2,000 starting bank is now standing at £2,266.00 – a profit of £266.00 or 7 points at level stakes.

On to tomorrow and long may it continue in this form …..

Kind regards

Tony
