Hi Bloggers

Well, we had another selection today, but it was declared a non runner after the selection information was published. This means no profit for the day, but also means no losses! I thought that you might be interested to see the kind of detailed information that the authors send out for each of the selections and the authors have asked me to do just that. Here was the information for today’s selection:

Haydock 17:10

Avertor

Unexposed sort from Roger Charlton’s yard, is likely to go off short here. However, there are several negatives that mean he can be opposed. Untried at Haydock so course suitability is unknown. 9th of 9 in his last race which may be because he didn’t enjoy the All Weather surface or could be that he hasn’t trained on from 3 to 4. Carries 9st 12lbs today which is more weight than he has shouldered before. It’s unknown whether he will like today’s Good to Firm surface as turf runs have all been on Good or Good to Soft going (only win came on Good to Soft ground). Not run for 78 days so fitness form and wellbeing are all taken on trust. Trainer has had only 1 winner with his 4YOs and above here, in the last 5 years. This looks a competitive race where cases can be made for several of his rivals. We recommend lay subject to maximum odds of 5.5 REMEMBER WE ARE BACKING THIS HORSE TO LOSE.

Staking (more information on the website staking page) :-

Level Stakes – Lay for 1 point

Stake Plan 4 – Lay for 1 point

3% Bank Plan – Lay STAKE is 3% of current Bank

10% Liability Plan – Lay for 10% LIABILITY of Bank

As you will see from the sentence that I have highlighted in bold italics, they were probably right on the money about him not liking the going today!

As you may recall from yesterday, we are carrying forward a profit to date of £38.00 or 1 point at level stakes, so our cumulative bank is standing at £2,038.

I should mention that in their emails and web advices they are currently recommending certain bets in the World Cup. I have specifically omitted this information from the review, as it will end soon anyway! Just out of interest, they recommended betting on Germany to go through, which they did by smashing Argentina 4-0.

Kind regards

Tony
