Well, we can guarantee that we won’t lose any money today, as there are no bets! The message for today (1 July) reads:
“Despite 6 meetings and 40 races today, nothing ticked all of our boxes as a confident pick, so no Selections today.”
As I said yesterday, they did give me a selection for 30 June but it will not form part of the results of the trial. The selection was at Kempton in the 8.50 p.m. race and it was Rangefinder. It came in a very nice 7th our of 12 runners at a Betfair SP of 4.10 and was as low as 2.10 in play. As I said, not part of the results for this review but an encouraging result to warm us up before the “kick 0ff”!
Whilst they rarely back horses they did “recommend a VERY SMALL each way punt on My Best Bet in the 8.20 at Kempton. A lot seems to be in her favour and, for me anyway, she represents good value at 12s.”
The horse came in 3rd at a Betfair SP of 14.00 (3.80 place) and a standard SP of 12/1 – not a bad side bet!
Let’s hope we have something to lay tomorrow.
