Total Football Trading The Paper Chaser – Day 14

2nd November 2011

Hi Bloggers, Sgt Colin here.

Yesterday was a Champions’ League night – and I concentrated on those games. There were 4 matches which merited a bet:

Porto @ APOEL Bought at 1.88, Sold at 1.85.  Profit of 2.06 points.

Arsenal v Marseille Sold at 1.77,  Bought at 1.81.  Profit of 2.73 points. Arsenal drifted to 1.85 at one point, but I let the trade run for a while as the price shortened, closing out early. Good job – as Arsenal shortened further.

Valencia v Leverkusen Bought @ 1.7, Sold at 1.67. Profit of 1.71 points.

Milan @ BATE Sold at 1.64 – Bought at 1.64 – No gain no loss.

Another really good day – 3 wins & a “no score draw” – generating 6.5 points profit.

13 days gone for The Paper Chaser (see Day 12 for an explanation of why we’re on Day 14!)
35 selections, 20 winners, 12 losers, 3 break-even (57% hit rate).
Cumulative gain 51.6 points,
Betting bank 1051.6 (from 1000 start point).
ROI (based on 3500 points invested) – +1.47%.

The ROI looks low – but please look at Day 8’s review for further explanation of the potential impact. I’m going to try and work out a return based on the true “risk investment” at some point in the trial. We’ve also been very consistent in terms of winning days – 10 out of 13, which is encouraging.
Today was another day of Champions’ League footy – but I was very busy and couldn’t afford the time to run the process. Will try tomorrow – wireless technology on trains permitting!
