The running banks are as follows:

Staking Plan 294.38 pts -5.62 pts Starting Bank 300 pts
Today being day 56 of the review, and the banks showing a loss, normally the review would end now. However, I have decided to continue with the review of The Secret Tipster.
John Romane, the man behind The Secret Tipster, has supplied me with records going back to 2007, which show the service has made excellent profits. I also know people who follow this service and are happy to do so, so I want to continue and try to better understand why our results maybe dont reflect those of John himself.
There are 2 major factors that come to mind immediately.
1. Because John publishes his results using the prices at the time of his going to press, he will never have a “no bet”, as obviously all his selections are within the price limit when he selects them. Since the 4th of Jan this year, I have recorded a total of 48 “no bets”, this is going to make a significant difference, for better or worse I am not sure, although I suspect it would be the latter.
2. If we are not achieving the same prices as John, and therefore not the same amount of selections and profit/loss, then as was pointed out in a comment yesterday, do we still follow the staking advise in the daily email, or do we apply the plan according to our own results?
I dont have the answer to either of these problems, but I do know it will be impossible to mirror the results that John is publishing. Over the next 4 weeks perhaps I can try and seek some more answers.

Admin Gordon
