The first thing to say here is that Andrew Baldings runners are bang in form – 5 winners from the last 10 runners.
This one does face a handful of horses from top yards here but only the favourite has shown any decent from thus far and that was last season as a 2yo. Roanstar is likely to improve from his debut run 2 weeks ago which was over course and distance making that form the most relevent form on offer. He didn’t get the best of passages that day either.
Result – unplaced
5.30 Leicester 8. Sister Earth 0.5pt e/w ONLY IF 4/1+ AND 8 RUN (check market at 5.20 – 5.30)
Sister Earth is nearly a bet at 7/2 but the race is later on and I’d want to be sure that 8 go and I’d want 4/1 or better. Its probable that 1 of the top 3 in the market will drift out to a nice price in this one. I would in fact back any of the top 3 at 4/1+ but I think Sister Earth is the only one that might go out to this price. She ran well in a fillies Maiden at Kempton last month over this distance and looked to have some room for improvement. Apart from Rhyton there isn’t anything else in this field that looks to have place chances outside the top 3 and that one is unraced. “
